Dr Peter Kolovos is a nephrologist qualified through the Royal Australian College of Physicians (RACP). He is clinically appointed at Blue Mountains Hospital and has accreditation at Nepean Hospital. He has rooms consulting rooms across Norwest, Blacktown, Fairfield and Lithgow.
Dr Kolovos completed his medical training at the University of Sydney. He pursued further education throughout his training, completing a Master of Medicine (Internal medicine). Throughout his career, he has worked across various major teaching hospitals within New South Wales. This includes Prince of Wales Hospital, Royal North Shore Hospital, St George Hospital and Nepean Hospital. This has resulted in a breadth of experiencing in managing kidney disease in patients in all its various manifestations, from early onset to complex, late-stage presentations. He has a particular interest in preventative health, aiming to incorporate lifestyle changes and medications to prevent complications which impede a person’s way of life.
Outside his clinical work, Dr Kolovos is deeply passionate about medical education. He plays an active role in mentoring junior doctors and guiding them through examination preparation, fostering the next generation of physicians. His dedication to advancing medical knowledge extends to research, with multiple contributions published in respected peer-reviewed journals. A committed educator and accomplished author, Dr Kolovos blends academic rigour with real-world impact.
When Dr Kolovos isn’t practising medicine, he enjoys tending to his reef aquarium and exploring Sydney’s parks and cafés with his two spirited toy poodles.
